NEW YORK (FNS)--Sales of designer intimate apparel jumped 62 percent in 1991 at The Warnaco Group Inc., according to a prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Overall intimate apparel sales rose 9.9 percent to $339.7 million in the year ended Jan. 4, against $309.1 million in 1990, according to the prospectus for Warnaco's planned secondary offering of 5 million shares.
The increase in revenues was attributed to added shipments to new accounts, increased royalty income and the jump in designer sales, the company said.
