Retro is in fashion again, and Jantzen has coupled the trend with another movement in vogue: the environment. The Oregon-based sport and swimwear company is relaunching the "Clean Water" marketing/advertising campaign that its founders, John Zehntbauer and Carl Jantzen, first mounted in 1928.
The goal in 1928 was to establish acceptable nationwide health and safety standards primarily in swimming pools. This time around, Jantzen is making contributions to such organizations as Heal the Bay and SOLV (Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism) to make more far-reaching changes.
