New York - Remember when cleansing meant simple soap and water? Nothing is simple anymore.
Today's cleansers--soap included -- are the sophisticated products of advanced technology and the objects of high powered marketing.
Take Elizabeth Arden's One Great Soap. The two-toned bar has a transparent side made with seven moisturizers and a white side made of hard-milled soap.
Arden is giving it top billing.
"We see it as and extremely important product it terms of our skin care strategy," said James Miner, vice president of marketing. "We expect it to be our largest-selling skin care item."
