PRICELESS jewellery once owned by Marie Antoinette has been stolen from a house in Notting Hill.

The locket necklace and matching earrings belonging to the illfated queen were among the valuable items taken.

Watches, necklaces, earrings, rings and brooches were also seized from the woman's collection during the burglary, along with a laptop computer.

Detectives said most of the French jewellery - including a diamond-encrusted locket made from crystal and enamel on a gold chain and matching earrings - had been in the 65-yearold victim's family for more than 200 years.
