Jan. 6--Proponents of Florida's newest school choice scholarship program say it will ensure low -income students receive a quality education, but public school leaders and voucher critics aren't convinced.
The Corporate Income Tax Credit Scholarship Program, the result of a new law that took effect last Wednesday, is the third state plan that provides money to public school students to go to a private school.
But unlike the other two programs, this one isn't funded with money from the state. Instead, the cash is coming from business donations that are worth valuable tax credits.
