BOILING POINT
We liked the design and efficiency of the Bodum Curl electric water kettle, which boils water in 4 minutes. The 47-ounce-capacity kettle is cordless and rests on a power base (OK, that's got a cord). The scatterbrained among us will also like the automatic shutoff features: The kettle turns off as soon as the water boils, when there's not enough water in the pot, or if you turn it on when the pot is empty. The Curl costs $40 and is available in white at Crate & Barrel stores or by mail (800-967-6696 or online at www.crateandbarrel.com). Both white and black models are $40 plus shipping by calling Bodum at 800-232-6386.
