CLEVELAND _ The Indians' primary multi-purpose player, Jolbert Cabrera, is recovering from a minor flesh wound to his backside, the result of a gunshot during a failed carjacking attempt in Cartagena, Colombia.
Tribe general manager Mark Shapiro was informed by Cabrera's agent of the incident, which occurred a day or two before Christmas.
Cabrera had been playing winter ball in Venezuela and returned to his home in Cartagena for the holidays.
