AMERICA flashed by on the left, Canada whizzed by on the right and one of the wonders of the world loomed large below us. We were on a helicopter ride above the Niagara Falls and the sight was awesome.

The rapids frothed up beneath us and we swooped to see the falls in all their glory. The cascading water powers over the 180ft drop at an incredible 750,000 gallons a second and the constant spray conjures up a halo of mystery around one of nature's greatest spectacles.
