PITTSBURGH, Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today announced the appointment of Sandford Rivers to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for a two-year term, the second of three Gubernatorial appointees. Rivers is Assistant Vice President of Enrollment at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Rivers, 61, joined Carnegie Mellon 34 years ago to head the Carnegie Mellon Action Project. Since then he served of Associate and later Assistant Director of Admissions and is currently Assistant Vice President for Enrollment.
