The American Medical Association (AMA) has recently reinforced that message with a call for schools to have established guidelines for managing food-allergic children Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.
Today, according to The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (http://www.foodallergy.org/), 1-in-25 American children are reported to have a food allergy. Food allergies are increasing with an estimated 3 million school-aged children having a known food allergy or multiple food allergies.
