Aug. 16--GOLIAD COUNTY, Texas -- Groundwater officials plan a rehearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday at which the San Antonio River Authority, a partner in the Lower Guadalupe Water Supply Project, will be given a second chance to make its case against the district's landmark mitigation rule.
Tuesday's rehearing, which is open to the public, will be in the district courtroom at the Goliad County Courthouse.
The district's mitigation rule, believed to be the first of its kind adopted by a Texas groundwater district, requires high-volume water pumpers to develop plans to reduce, or mitigate, ...
