First-year defensive coordinator Bret Bielema jokes that he arrived at the University of Wisconsin with two strikes against him in the minds of most Badgers fans.
"I kind of came in as a double negative," Bielema said. "I played at Iowa and I am from Illinois."
But the Prophetstown, Ill., native -- a former walk-on defensive lineman with the Hawkeyes -- quickly won over most fans he came in contact with during summer fund-raising events with his engaging personality.
