DENVER - It might be the heat, or it might be the humiliation.
Either way, new Cubs shortstop Nomar Garciaparra swears he doesn't know why management of the Boston Red Sox said Garciaparra had to be traded because he told the team he'd miss "significant time" the rest of the year because of injury.
The Red Sox have taken a good deal of heat from the public after last Saturday's trade of the popular shortstop to the Cubs in a four-team deal.
