QUESTION
Are there any advantages to having the same name as someone famous?
BEFORE my second marriage in 1997, my name was Diana Spencer.
Usually I would be asked 'Not the Diana Spencer?', 'Shall I curtsy now?' and 'Is the book true?' In fact, when I read Andrew Morton's book, I couldn't put it down because Diana's life mirrored mine in so many ways. Plus, I was born and brought up a few miles from Althorp, her childhood home.
The main advantage was that people remembered me particularly because I had a famous name.
I felt very self- conscious and upset on the weekend of her death.
