LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Supporters of Proposition 71, the California Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative, today announced that mayors and local elected officials across California have endorsed the measure, adding to a growing, broad and diverse coalition mobilizing to ensure passage of Prop. 71 on the November 2004 statewide ballot. Today's announcement was led by the unanimous endorsement of Prop. 71 by the Los Angeles City Council.
