Aug. 18--WEST LEYDEN, N.Y. -- Several officials from Lewis and Oneida counties are calling for Oneida and Herkimer counties to take their garbage to the Rodman landfill rather than building a new one in the Oneida County town of Ava.
"Tonight, we appeal to the elected officials of Oneida and Herkimer counties to exert their control over Hans Arnold, live up to their fiduciary responsibility to the taxpayers and reach out to an alternative that will benefit all of our citizens," Lewis County Legislature Chairman Bruce R. Krug, D-Leyden, said at a press conference Tuesday evening.
