The battle between Florida's trial lawyers and doctors is heading to the statewide stage this fall as the Supreme Court has approved four constitutional amendments for the November general election ballot.
On July 15, the court said the four amendments--one proposed by the Florida Medical Association and three by the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers--met the technical requirements to go to voters. However, a few days later the academy withdrew, for the lime being, one of its proposed amendments.
