PITTSBURGH, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney General Jerry Pappert today announced the filing of a civil lawsuit and preliminary injunction against a western Pennsylvania pre-need funeral business accused of false and deceptive advertising, failing to deliver caskets or honoring the contracts of consumers who purchased funeral goods and services. The defendants are also accused of failing to deposit consumers' pre-need payments into trust accounts within the Commonwealth as mandated by law.
The legal action follows an investigation by Pappert's Bureau of Consumer Protection into complaints from more than two dozen consumers in Allegheny, Butler, Clinton, ...
