Aug. 20--Saying a reporter had raised questions about the quality of concrete repairs at Wrigley Field, city officials on Thursday ordered the Chicago Cubs to perform a new round of safety inspections before the ballpark will be permitted to host next week's homestand.
The order marks at least the second time that the city has threatened to close Wrigley Field during a dispute with the Cubs and their owners, Tribune Co., over repairs at the landmark ballpark.
