CEC SATISFIES APPEALS OF THREE NOMINEES REGISTERING INITIATIVE GROUPS

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has decided upon registering three initiative groups for nominating candidates to the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly, whose appeals have been turned down earlier by local election commissions.

An Interfax correspondent reports, the CEC has found no instances of violating the legislation in these three cases and pronounced the verdicts of local election commissions invalid.
