THE parties have long started at Google's Mountain View, California headquarters with local estate agents and car dealerships preparing to help the company's lucky employees spend their windfall riches from the long-awaited float.
The company is planning a picnic outing to celebrate today.
With the share price staggering to $100.34 ([pounds sterling]54.50) in its Nasdaq debut, about 18% above the final offer price of $85, about 1000 of Google's nearly 2300 employees are now millionaires on paper, according to an analysis by Salary.com, which tracks employee pay.
