Aug. 21--A Lemoore call center that has been vacant for five months will be leased by Communication Service for the Deaf, a nonprofit agency that plans to hire 250 to 300 workers by December, city officials said.
The agency plans to occupy a 23,700-square-foot call center at the northeast corner of Lemoore Avenue and Hanford-Armona Road, which Budget Rent-A-Car vacated in March. Its parent company, Cendant Corp., decided last fall to close the Lemoore and Toronto reservation centers, laying off about 300 workers.
