TOTTENHAM last night finally captured West Ham midfielder Michael Carrick.
The 23-year-old, who has been linked with Arsenal, Portsmouth, Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Everton, has signed a four-year contract subject to a medical.
He made more than 150 appearances for West Ham and earned two England caps, but the Hammers needed to cash in on their [pounds sterling]3.5million-rated asset who was in the final year of his contract.
Sporting director Frank Arnesen said: 'Michael is a big English talent. He is a great passer of the ball and with him we have a very strong midfield.
