President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will lead today the turnover of command of the Philippine National Police (PNP) from Director General Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. to Deputy Director General Edgardo B. Aglipay.
Ebdane was appointed National Security Adviser, in a major Cabinet revamp by the President last week. He replaced Norberto Gonzales.
The President, also commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, is the guest of honor when Ebdane officially turns over the baton of the PNP leadership to Aglipay in a simple ceremony at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City this morning.
