BLACKSBURG -- Virginia Tech football fans may not hear his name very often this season, but Branden Ore could be the future of the Hokies' backfield.
He keeps hinting at it, anyway.
While Ore will likely play sparingly and may even redshirt this season, the freshman running back from Indian River has made the most of his three weeks in a Tech uniform.
"It seems like he does something to catch your eye every day," running backs coach Billy Hite said.
Like last week in practice, when Ore started one direction, then cut the other way, leaving a defeated defender in his wake.
