MILWAUKEE -- The state Department of Corrections has not revised its policy regarding staff-inmate relationships a year after the passage of a state law criminalizing sexual contact between guards and inmates.
Corrections Secretary Matt Frank said Friday his department will revise its "fraternization policy," which prohibits "inappropriate relationships" between inmates and guards but does not specify the issue of sexual contact.
He said he also will issue an executive directive for his department to formally adopt the definition of sexual contact in the new law.
