Aug. 23--If terms like "negative energy," "dispersing the chi" and "Zen-ergy chimes" seem more appropriate in Southern California than in West Columbia, check out Godi Galleria on State Street sometime.
The store, which specializes in feng shui decorations, hosted a mini-seminar Saturday morning on the benefits of the design concept.
Feng shui (pronounced fung shway) is the art of decorating for spiritual comfort as much as for style. It's based on the idea that our home and work environments should reflect the same kind of aesthetic balance seen in nature.
