May 3--Adesa Corp., a used vehicle wholesaler and subsidiary of Duluth-based Allete, said Wednesday that it now has a presence in Oklahoma.
The second-largest auto auction group in the world has purchased the I-44 Auto Auction in Tulsa, Okla., for an undisclosed sum. The business will be renamed Adesa Tulsa.
Jim Hallett, president and chief executive officer of Adesa said the deal will help boost the company's presence in the Southern Plains.
Adesa has four auctions in Texas, one in Memphis, Tenn., another in Shreveport, La., and two in Arkansas.
