Lula Robinson is an old guard standing vigil in a Roxbury neighborhood nagged by crime, and she does not hesitate to report suspicious activity to police.
"If I see some crime happening, you better believe I'm gonna pick up the phone and call," said Robinson, the 72-year-old chairwoman of the Intervale and Normandy Streets Residents Association Crime Watch. The association was honored by Boston police earlier this month as one of the top 10 crime watches of the year.
