Xerox Corp. has introduced a new "PaperWorks" software package that could revolutionize the way PC users communicate with their office or home-based machines. PaperWorks allows users to employ a standard fax machine to interact with their PC, instructing it to store, retrieve, organize and distribute documents following personalized written instructions.
Industry analysts say for the first time the breakthrough software makes paper an interactive part of the PC. It allows information to be removed from a PC by a fax at a distant location without the aid of another PC.
