A 'scruffy' Welsh wooden cup's claim to be The Holy Grail will be dismissed by historians in a forthcoming documentary. For two centuries, the Nanteos Cup has been revered for its supposedly magical healing properties, ever since it was discovered in the ruins of Strata Florida Abbey, near Aberystwyth.
The cup is reputed to be the very one that - according to which legend you believe - either held the blood of Christ as it flowed from his wounds on the Cross, or was Christ's own vessel at the Last Supper.
