CHICAGO--Deere & Co. may not have invented the concept of "if you want something done right do it yourself." But it certainly has given the phrase new meaning when it comes to managed care.
Stung by $220 million price tag for employee and retiree health coverage despite a massive managed care investment, the Moline, I11.-based manufacturer has taken a new approach to the problem: building an on-site medical facility.
