Aug. 25--TROY, Ohio -- MT Picture Display Corp. of America on Tuesday announced completion of $3.8 million in modifications to one of its production lines, enabling it to make a 32-inch cathode ray tube for digital televisions at its Troy plant.
The upgrades to the Troy plant's Line No. 3 won't mean more jobs, but rather will help keep the production line running, company spokesman Greg Tatusko said. The Troy plant employs about 1,150 workers, of whom about 210 are salaried. Its work force also includes about 100 temporary employees.
