SAN DIEGO -- The Community Partnering Program of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California today announced $94,500 of sponsorships for 16 programs in San Diego and San Diego County that will advance water education and conservation efforts.
Under the competitive funding program, San Diego-area projects supported by the CPP sponsorships range from museum and nature center exhibits about the water cycle and watersheds to side-by-side homes comparing the water usage in traditional landscaping with a yard planted in California Friendly, water-saving plants. Recipients range from Chula Vista on the south to Fallbrook in North County.
