BACK home in Lancashire, the people who watched Amir Khan grow from raw boxing prodigy to potential Olympic lightweight gold medallist are worried.
Not because they doubt their boy's talent, courage or determination to overcome Cuba's Mario Kindelan, the final obstacle in his quest to become the youngest Olympic boxing champion since Floyd Patterson in 1952.
The concern for 17-year-old Khan's huge following in Bolton, his hometown, and Bury, where he honed his boxing skills, is that the men who run the amateur fight game in Britain will not be able to prevent him selling his future to the professional game.
