Criminals beware: Next week will not be a good week to commit crimes downtown.
About 400 police officers and civilians involved with Crime Stoppers programs from all 50 states and around the world will be in Cincinnati for the 2004 Crime Stoppers International Training Conference.
Crime Stoppers members are coming from as far away as Australia, Uganda and Nigeria, said Lt. Steve Kramer, commander of the Cincinnati Police Major Offender Unit.
One Crime Stoppers contingent is trying to make the trip from Mongolia but, as of Wednesday, was having problems getting visas.
