Red Mill Farm has grown up a lot in the 20 years since it was first developed.
Located in Virginia Beach off General Booth Boulevard near Oceana Naval Air Station, the sprawling residential community sits in an area that had once been farmland.
Today, it has about 1,400 homes; its own rambling, new shopping center; and newly built luxury apartment and condominium complexes.
It also boasts an active civic league and many proud residents.
