How ironic. As Jane Pauley prepares to launch her syndicated talk show Monday at 4 p.m. on WAVY, her life has become the stuff of daytime television.
Check out the headlines. They read like an hour of Montel or Ricki Lake:
"Jane Pauley tells the world she's bipolar."
"Jane Pauley expects to be on lithium for the rest of her life."
"Mood swings put Jane Pauley in hospital."
Who knew she was ill? Pauley, in her 27 years with NBC as a totally together reporter, anchor and co-host of "Dateline," appeared to be a woman without a worry.
