KING Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Bangkok Metro Blue Line on July 3 (IRJ May p9).
The 20km line, which runs from Hua Lamphong to Bang Sue, has 18 stations including three providing interchange with Skytrain. Siemens won the 352 Million [euro] turnkey contract to equip the line.
