Nine New Rochelle-based not-for-profit organizations recently received donations totaling $2.15 million from the sale of a former senior residence in New Rochelle, which is now being developed as a new townhome community.
At a reception held at the College of New Rochelle, the board of trustees of the Colburn Memorial Home donated the entire proceeds from the sale of its Clinton Avenue property to the not-for profit organizations.
Established in 1909, the outdated Colburn Memorial Home was closed in September 2002.
