CU REGENTS ROASTED GRAND JURY CALLS BOARD 'UNQUALIFIED' TO SUPERVISE FOOTBALL.(News)

The grand jury that investigated the University of Colorado football recruiting scandal has slammed the Board of Regents as "unqualified" and "not equipped" to supervise the football program.

That assessment came in the still-secret report prepared by the state grand jury earlier this month, according to a source familiar with the report.

The report also spreads the blame around. It not only criticizes the nine-member Board of Regents, but CU-Boulder Chancellor Richard Byyny, Athletic Director Dick Tharp and football coach Gary Barnett as well.
