Aug. 31--Collin County commissioners say they can't meet all the indigent health care needs by themselves.
They're looking to nonprofit organizations to help - and rewarding those who do.
Commissioners have awarded $147,425 in grants to six clinics and organizations for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1. That's an increase from $100,000 given to two clinics in the current year.
"Government cannot do it all anymore," commissioner Joe Jaynes said. "Neither can the nonprofit, private sector.
