EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
STILL riding the wave of strong housing demand and low interest rates, the 25 largest residential developers in Los Angeles County sold 5,870 homes in 2003, a 22 percent increase from the year previous, according to Meyers Group data.
Lennar Corp. moved into first place, with KB Homes dropping back to No. 6 after home sales declined by a third, to 346 units.
Beazer Homes moved into second place, with a two-thirds increase in home sales, to 441 units for the year. No. 11 K. Hovnanian Co. and No. 12 Pardee Homes also saw significant jumps, increasing the number of units sold ...
