Sep. 1--Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, one of the area's most revered relaxation hot spots, appears to be for sale, and at least one industry expert casts doubt on the future of the landmark.
Tom Prins, a principal with Gemstone Resorts International Corp. in Connecticut, said the most likely buyer might want to demolish the resort and use the land for residential housing, which would likely be more lucrative.
