Sep. 1--The New Jersey delegation began Tuesday with a delegate meeting in a cafe off the Crowne Plaza Times Square lobby. It featured a continental breakfast and speeches by several members of the Republican congressional delegation.
Novartis picked up the tab.
Once that was over, the breakneck schedule called for delegates to go up an escalator to a ballroom, where Public Service Electric and Gas Co. and mail-order drug company Medco were serving a full breakfast with fruit cocktail, quiche, and sausage.
