Upon first listen, Mirage might appear to be a great lost Pentangle album. There are similar intricate acoustic guitar passages, light jazzy rhythms, and breathy female vocals. Actually, Mirage is the debut CD by The Green House Band, a group who adopted a style very similar to the original Pentangle's --you could almost call them a Pentangle tribute band. But there are differences. Most noticeable is that vocalist Madeleine Worrall, a professional actress, has a more mannered and dramatic style than Pentangle's Jacqui McShee.
