It's always fascinating to open a new Norman and Nancy Blake recording. Each is like a letter describing what they've been listening to in the past few years. Little clues abound throughout The Morning Glory Ramblers.
Seems they've been listening a bit to the Bollick brothers, otherwise known as the Blue Sky Boys. "The Sunny Side of Life" opens the recording and the Bollick's version of "Short Time of Trouble" is a highlight. The Carter Family has always been a rich source for Blake material.
