The Brazilian refinery Refinaria de Manguinhos, controlled by Repsol YPF and Peixoto de Castro, is expecting for a solution to the discrepancy between the international oil prices and the practiced prices in domestic market. This policy would benefit Refinaria Ipiranga as well. In 2004, Manguinhos already reduced production by 40% from 15,500 barrels per day to 9,000.
