Local wedding dress designer David Gaffke put the finishing touches on his one-of-a-kind White Sox gown just before the Boston Red Sox all but buried the Sox' postseason hopes.
When Gaffke started creating the black-and-white wedding gown with the White Sox logo in front, the team was battling for first place. A mighty slump later, the Sox limped into Monday night's game in Detroit with a losing record and little chance of postseason play.
