* Ovarian cancer is often called the "silent killer," as symptoms do not generally appear until the later stages of disease, when the cure rate is poor. This prospective, case-controlled study identified the frequency, severity, and duration of symptoms typically associated with ovarian cancer in a population of 1,709 women presenting to primary care clinics.
